That budget paid for

• The contact tracing staff and their call centres


• The testing done


• The cost of all UK test processing centres (including those in Scotland)


• The setup costs of the Nightingale Hospitals


• The Isolation grants paid to those isolating (including people here in Scotland)


• And more, much more

In the first year of the pandemic, only £15.7bn if that budget was spent. The second year, it was less.
