The Myth:: Scotland Gets Less Back Than We Pay In

The Truth:: Scotland gets much more back in funding than we pay in.

Nationalists often claim we get far less back than we pay in.

IF our only spending was devolved services, this would be true.

Its not true though.

The money not sent to Hollyrood, and spent by Westminster on our behalf, pays Scotland's share of the costs of areas that are reserved to Westminster, such as Welfare, Pensions, Military, Foreign Aid, DVLA, Foreign Embassies, Passports, International Relations, International Trade Agreements, Civil Service, etc.

The SNP openly admit that we do get more back than we pay in, but their supporters, the Cybernats, refuse to accept it and/or lie through their teeth about it.

As you can see above, we do get far more back than we pay in. Any claim otherwise is an absolute lie.
