The Truth:: The Numbers Prove They're Lying

The SNP, Ian Blackford in particular, keep claiming they have a mandate from "the people of Scotland" to hold another referendum.

This is far from the case.

"The people of Scotland" means all of us, not just the people who voted SNP.

Table 1 below shows how many people the term "people of Scotland" actually includes.

To be 100% accurate, it is everyone, including children.

For political purposes, it would be all registered voters, the electorate.


As you can see, thats 4,280,785 people, not just those who voted SNP

That is not a mandate of any kind.

Table 3 shows how many votes the SNP got in the Constituency vote and the Regional List Vote, and has the green voted added. Totals of 49% and 48.4% respectively. (Votes Cast: 2,706,761)

Table 4 shows that only 23.64% of "the people of Scotland" (Population) and 30.2% of "the people of Scotland" (Electorate) backed the SNP.


That is not a mandate.

Table 5 shows that even if we drill right down to votes actually cast that the SNP do not hold a majority, even with the Green vote included.


This proves beyond any doubt, the SNP has no mandate.

The SNP only have a majority in the chamber by doing a grubby deal with the Greens, none of whom are actually directly elected. All of them are list MSPs. In fact, the Greens have never had a directly elected MSP.

No matter what Sturgeon, her party, or the cybernats claim, THERE IS NO MANDATE!
